TSX Challenge

Nonprofit association dedicated to educating its members and the general public

The Big Trails
- American Discovery Trail:
The American Discovery Trail stretches across more than 6,800 miles and 15 states.
The ADT is the only coast-to-coast, non-motorized recreational trail. Linking communities,
cities, parks and wilderness, the ADT allows people to hike, bike or ride horses
for an afternoon ora cross-country adventure.
- Appalachian Mountain Club: Founded in 1876, the Appalachian
Mountain Club is America's oldest conservation and recreation organization. We promote
the protection, enjoyment, and wise use of the mountains, rivers, and trails of
the Appalachian region.

Appalachian Trail Home Page: The Appalachian Trail is a continuous marked footpath
that goes from Katahdin in Maine to Springer Mountain in Georgia, a distance of
about 2160 miles.

Ranch: The Muir Trail Ranch is located in Central California in the High Sierra,
at 7600 feet elevation. We have log cabins, horseback riding, and hot spring baths.
We are open during the summer months, from June to September. We can accommodate
up to 20 or so guests at a time, and mostly book the ranch by the week to groups
of 15 or more people (exceptions are the Short Stay weeks in June and September).
You arrive and depart on Saturdays.
